The challenge was created by Joanne Hawker as a way for small handmade businesses and creative makers to talk about their art or craft and show others what their handmade business is all about in a behind-the-scenes way.

Au cours du mois de mars, je participe au March Meet The Maker 2024 sur le compte instagram de l’atelier. Ce défi a été créé par Joanne Hawker pour permettre aux petites entreprises artisanales et aux créateurs de parler de leur art ou de leur artisanat afin de montrer aux autres les coulisses de leur métier.

✨ Today’s Prompt: Product Story.
This print was inspired by the garden’s strawberry patch and one of my favourite garden visitors, a cute little rabbit (pictured in the last photo). This print is also the first one of my linocuts that I printed in Prussian green ink. It was magical to do the first proof print reveal in the afternoon with light catching on the gold flakes in the ink.

✨ Thème du jour: L’histoire d’un produit
Cette gravure a été inspirée par les fraises du jardin et par l'un de mes visiteurs préférés, un mignon petit lapin (allez voir la dernière photo). Cette estampe est également la première de mes linogravures que j'ai imprimée avec de l'encre vert de Prusse. C'était magique de voir l'effet de l’encre sur ma première impression test dans l'après-midi, lorsque la lumière frappait les éclats d'or de l'encre.

When I need to fill that creative well back up, I like to find inspiration from nature outside of the studio, enjoying the change of scenery and getting reference photos.

Lorsque j'ai besoin de me ressourcer, j'aime trouver l'inspiration dans la nature en dehors de l'atelier. Je profite du changement de décor pour prendre des photos de référence pour de nouvelles œuvres.

✨ Today’s Prompt: Vision.
This print of my little studio assistant was my first ever print I made during that summer printmaking workshop. I've come a long way since then, but my vision of the future is to continue to experiment with the same spirit that made me sign up to learn printmaking in the first place.

✨ Thème du jour: Vision.
Cette linogravure de ma petite assistante d'atelier est la toute première que j'ai réalisée au cours d’un cours de gravure. Je me suis beaucoup amélioré depuis, mais ma vision de l'avenir est de continuer à expérimenter avec le même esprit qui m'a poussé à m'inscrire à ce cours pour apprendre la gravure.
Merci d'avoir suivi mon parcours lors du défi March Meet The Maker ! En avril, je reviendrai à un rythme hebdomadaire de posts sur Instagram. Chapeau à ceux d'entre vous qui postent régulièrement tout au long de l'année, j'aime voir toute votre créativité dans mon fil d'actualité.
